A new Sunday School class which will consider the basic, foundational teachings of the New Testament
and how we apply them to living in today's secular culture. We will begin the class following the completion of the
membership class. The pastor will lead the class as it gets started, and we will have an open
forum in which no question about the Bible, Christianity, our culture, or all of them together will be out
of bounds.
Funds Needed for Ministry
Kidz Klub is doing fantastic as far as outreach and attendance goes. The ministry is
growing thanks to the hard work of the leaders; however, that same good news is also
creating expenses. We have purchased a new (used) van which we hope to eliminates some of the overcrowding. As good as that news is, we still have not paid off the white van we purchased two years ago. Both payments toward the white van and expenses for Kidz Klub are sorely needed.
Then there's the building fund and how helpful that addition will be to Kidz Klub, the
Movie Ministry, a new contemporary Worship Service, wedding receptions, funeral dinners, community events....
We don't fully realize all the different functions that will be enhanced or enabled by the fellowship
building.
Then there are the missions we support in various regions of the world...
Another worthwhile need is money for Bibles. When Ricky Riggs was here, we promised
young people who made a commitment to Jesus Christ and did not have a Bible that we would get
them one. If you can help toward that ministry, please do. Simply mark the gift as "Children's
Bibles."
You cannot give to every good cause. We know that the choices
can be difficult. We simply ask that you seek God's direction for your giving. Your help is crucial.
Repayment Due
We borrowed from the McDonald Estate fund to purchase the white Chevy 15-passender van. We still owe a considerable
balance. While most of us are in a hurry to see the fellowship building go up, others are not so keen on the idea for
their own good reasons. So, I ask each of you to search your heart for God's leading as to which one (or both) of these
worhtwhile ministries you might suppot momentarily.
Kidz Klub Permission Slips
Permission slips for Kidz Klub and Youth Discipleship group are now available.
If you are under 18 years of age and want to participate in the off-site activities of Kidz
Klub or Youth Discipleship, these must be filled out by your parent or legal guardian and
returned to your activity leader prior to the planned activity. If you are bringing a
friend to any off site activity or Kidz Klub or Youth Discipleship, they must bring this
completed form with them to participate in the activities.
You can download the
permission slip here. You will need
Adobe Reader to view this file (it's a free download).
Volunteers Needed
Volunteers to help with Junior Church teachers’ rotation. We have a number of volunteers
now, but we could really use a few more to lighten the load for those already ministering to
our children in this way. Please pray about whether God would have you serve with our Junior
Church ministry.
See Krista Walton if you are willing to volunteer.
